Can Ariadne have the man she loves or will the pressure and secrets of the past keep her from her heart’s desire?
Review:
I have found my new paranormal author to read. This is a my second book by Ms. Winters and I’m in love. In a crowded field of paranormal her books stand out. In her new series, “The Nymph’s”, she has taken a modern spin on an ancient telling of Zeus and the nymph’s and has a weaved a sensual story of how he destroyed their city and left them cursed for all eternity.
Ariadne is a shape shifting nymph living in modern Crete. She is the curator of the local museum. The curse that has fallen on her and her kind is that if they ever find true love, their lover will die a horrible death. Never believing herself worthy of a true love, she has fallen into a relationship with the governor that suits them both.
Beau is an American archeologist that is hell-bent on finding the labyrinth that will lead him to the secrets of the nymph’s. Single minded in his task, it has destroyed a marriage and alienated his son. Needing funding from a prestige company, he needs to find it fast. What he discovers will open his heart, his mind and discover that some things are best undiscovered all in the name of love.
I loved Ariadne and Beau. They were perfect for each other. In the beginning, I had my doubts about Ariadne. She is constantly bullied by the supposed leader of her sisterhood, Kat. On more than one occasion, I really wanted a chick fight. 🙂 Ariadne needed to find her backbone and realize that she is worthy of true love but at what cost? To Beau? To his son, Kaden? The sisterhood?
This book has a shape shifting witch Tammy who is an important secondary character. I’m really hoping that she gets her own book. I loved her when she around. She added an element of magic and straightforwardness that was refreshing in a paranormal. Most witches in books are either too sexy for me or evil and Tammy was neither. Kat was truly a *itch in the book and provided the necessary conflict but in the end I ended up feeling sorry for her. Her backstory would be interesting to learn more about in the future.
While this book sensual in nature, Ariadne and Beau were truly meant for each other. I instantly connected with them and waited for both of them to realize it. Men can be stubborn sometimes. The suspense element woven in was also a treat for me, as well. It only heightened the paranormal background and left me with a huge sigh of relief in the end.
Don’t miss reading the first book in this series. If you like your paranormal reads to be a bit different and not the same old thing, pick up “The Nymph’s Labyrinth” be prepared to fall in love with Beau and Ariadne.

Thanks for the review – this sounds really good and I’m adding it to my list!
And I really don’t have a favorite paranormal character – I like all of them except for trolls and zombies
