Review:

Another great PNR for me to read.  After reading the first book in the series, I definitely felt a little bitter, mad and really wanted to slap a few secondary characters into submission.  Oh but what a book #2 will do to a reader….

With all the world building in book #1, everything settles down…sort of.  With Darien accused of a crime that he didn’t commit, his two lovers must figure out the who, what, where and how.

I loved Natasha.  She is finally coming into her own when it comes to her power and place in the combined worlds.  She’s a fighter, lover and someone to definitely have around.  Elise, the character I abhorred in book #1 redeemed herself in this one.  In love with Darien and with Sergio in love with her, she is a woman willing to help her rival to bring Darien back.  Devin is quite the character.  I’m hoping to get more of story then him being the comic relief.

Once the action starts in Russia, its non stop, breathtaking and a rush.  Getting shot at and trying to stay one step ahead of their enemies will do that.  🙂  This is one hell of a follow up for any PNR/UF reader.  I would highly recommend that you read Desires Unleashed first or otherwise some of the characters and world building will not make sense.  Once you have done that, fall in love with the world that Ms. Simmons has created and I’ll see in about a day after you have recovered from the awesomeness that is The Guilty Innocent.  🙂

  1. I really enjoyed this one too and can’t wait to read the next book to see what happens when all of the paranormal groups start working together
