Text 2 Lovers

by K. Webster & J.D. Hollyfield
Publication Date: January 24, 2017
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romantic Comedy

It’s the start of nothing good.
I fired off a storm of raunchy text messages…to the wrong number.
And he replied.
Him: Show me a picture.
Him: Tell me your name.
Why does the lure of anonymity have me craving to indulge a stranger?

It’s the start of everything right.
I received a slew of text messages…when everything in my life was wrong.
And she made me laugh again.
Her: You’re probably a creeper.
Her: Possibly a stalker.
Why do I have the overwhelming need to find this stranger who saved me and make her mine?

Him: Take a chance with me.
Her: This is crazy.
Him: I need to see you.
Her: What are we doing?
Him: We’re about to find out.

Her: PHOTO ATTACHED
Him: PHOTO ATTACHED

*wipes tears from my cheeks*  Not from crying but from laughing.  This book has so much laughter that when it came time for the tough moments, they surprised me.  I loved how both authors took the different POV’s and wrote them.  Then to see how it all fit together .  Not every author duo can do that and I can honestly think of one other duo that can do that.  I was cringing, crying from laughter and swooning all at the same time.

I realize that most people will think that a book about a mistaken text from a stranger is a stretch but you just need to know that this happens more often than not.  In fact, if I had the ability to text when I was in my 20’s, I’m sure I would have done the same thing.  Drunk or not.  The cute meet is priceless and the actual meeting isn’t as fast either.  They get to know each other through texting and then actually talking on the phone.  What a concept.  No jumping in bed but that does happen but only after they have gotten to know each other.

There are a lot of sexy times in the book.  I mean, A LOT.  It’s never crude but it is necessary for the growth of their relationship.  Especially with Dani.  She has gotten out of a horrible relationship and she is also the type of person that is just too dang nice.  She blames herself and if it wasn’t for her bestie, Andie, I don’t think that she would have every taken a stand against her ex-boyfriend.  I was laughing my rear off when that happened.

Ram had a lot to lose in the relationship.  He’s secrets had secrets but nothing that couldn’t be explained.  Of course, they weren’t at the right time and it broke me when the black moment came out.  In fact, I think Andie was a bit over the top in her protection of Dani.  I know that she thought Dani would be too easy on him but considering that she and Roman (Ram’s brother) were hooking up, too, she took it a bit too far.  Dani needed to learn to stand up for herself without Andie.  Andie’s heart is in the right place but come on.

And yes, I told a spoiler.  Andie and Roman almost took over the book in the end.  I CAN.NOT.WAIT for the book.  Talk about enemies to lovers.  Whew…so much hatred and love in the same breath.

Overall, I loved Dani and Ram.  They had real issues to deal with separately and together.  I LOVED the ending.  That witch needed to have her comeuppance.  He He!!!!  Again, when is the next book?  I must read it…like now!
