I have to preface this review with the admission that I’ve already read this book with the high heat.  And if you read above the blurb, Ms. Cole is correct.  Take out the overly sexy parts and the book is much richer and emotional.  Now don’t get me wrong, I loved the sexy one but with the sweet romance, I was drawn more into the characters and not looking for the smexy times.

I’m no prude and believe me, I’ve read enough erotic books in my lifetime but I’m finding myself leaning towards the sweeter side of romance now.  Ms. Cole did an excellent job converting her sexy books into sweet.  You will never miss a beat with the general content but again, I found Jamie and Jessica’s rich because of the closed door.  All that said, this is a very sexy book in terms of the romance.  The build up is great and you can really feel the heat between them.  😉

Another thing about this book is it’s the perfect beach read.  I normally don’t get into the hype about beach reads but this one…I really felt like I was on the beach and in the town with them.  The town and all the secondary characters in the book are perfect for Jessica and Jamie.  You have two people that are overworked, feeling lost and trying to figure for themselves if their “work” can sustain them.  Jamie has a bit more to overcome in the book and the black moment is very black.  I wanted to slap him but he needed to FINALLY figure out what was more important.  And not have Vera (his grandmother) tell him what to do.

Overall, I loved the book clean and dirty.  I’ve read Ms. Cole and her alter ego, Ms. Foster before and she never disappoints.  I can’t wait to dive into the other sweet books in this series.
