Harper’s Wish
A Montana Series
Christmas Novella
Christmas is supposed to be a joyous time of year, but for Harper Donaldson it’s just
another day.  Orphaned at an early age, she doesn’t have a single good memory of Christmas.
But, when a Santa’s Mailbox mysteriously appears in the lobby of the post office where she works as postmistress, Harper wonders what it could hurt to send her own letter to Santa.
Could he bring her the family she’d always wanted?

This was such a cute story.  And I hate using the cute word.  But Ms. Ames writes cute, heartwarming , feel good stories that you can relate to.  I’ve read all three of her books and they have the same theme running through them.  Friendship, love and family (no matter what kind) are what matter most in life.
I will say that if I had one thing that kinda twerk me a bit was that I felt like there was a bit of instalove between Harper and Fin.  But once I thought about it, Fin had been watching her for awhile so I could understand the instalove more.  And poor Harper just wanted to feel loved and love someone else.
Harper didn’t have the greatest time growing in contrast to Fin.  This is what I loved about the story.  While their backgrounds were totally opposite of each other, they still fit together.  They complimented each other.  No fussing, no Alpha male going all crazy but most of all, Fin helped Harper see what she had been missing all along.
Don’t get me started on the old postmistress.  I could tell right away that she was up to no good and I was right.  🙂  Plus, Fin’s brother and nieces were great secondary characters that helped Harper with her wish in the end.  One thing…the ending.  Yes, the ending.  Such an awesome twist but I have heard from the author herself that we won’t get that book for awhile.  URGH!!!!  I must find out about Chloe.  I’ll be patient.  *pout*
Overall, anyone and everyone should read Ms. Ames.  Her stories will make you feel good but most of all, you will realize what really is important in your own life.

Take Me Home, Cowboy
A Western Escape
Ally Kincaid returns to Freewill, Wyoming, to see her father after a two year absence. Anticipating a quiet family reunion, she finds herself butting heads with her father’s foreman instead. The man’s arrogance and sexy drawl push all her
buttons, making her wonder what he’s hiding beneath his cowboy swagger.
Matt Gentry walked away from the past and shies from the future. No ties means no one gets hurt…until the boss’s daughter, a hot, green-eyed blonde, tempts him to break his own rules.
When tragedy strikes, will building tension and pride destroy their growing attraction or show them the way home?
