A plague is sweeping the immortal community, and he’s turning downright evil. All those New Year’s bashes will turn into bloodbaths if he doesn’t stop it. Sadly, the only known cure is finding a mate, and he is a giant, rude, beer-bellied mess. Definitely not husband material.

Holy mother of the Gods!  I honestly have never read a book by Mimi Jean and I have the Fugly series on my Kindle right now.  I was intrigued by the premise of a God that doesn’t wear pants and the humor that Mimi Jean writes.  Yes, I’ve been told time and time again, that I just HAVE to read her books.  I love humor in books and my fellow bloggers have been begging me to try her.  Boy, am I glad that I did.

I have never snickered so hard in a paranormal book in my life.  Normally, they are so dark, the hero is too alpha and moody.  Then the heroine is just a simpering waif.  This is SO not the way in this book.  In fact, the paranormal aspect isn’t the whole point of the book.  The point is getting Acan, the God of Wine, to find his mate.  Well, and for him to wear pants.  It is a running gag in the whole book,   Trust me, Acan is a God.  The cover IS Acan.

Margarita is such a great lady.  I loved her back story and the addition of her daughter is just an added bonus to her has a mother and potential mate for Acan.  She is organized, smart and doesn’t take crap from anyone.  Plus, don’t mess with her daughter and the momma bear comes out.  Acan couldn’t care less if she had a daughter or not.  In fact, I liked how he regarded her and her place in Margarita’s life.

Now, don’t think there tons of sexy times in the book.  Actually t, ere is truly only one sex but it’s hot.  There is a LOT of talk about his male parts.  In fact, one of the words used I haven’t heard since junior high and I was rolling in laughter.

A couple of side notes:  Zac and Tula…I’m in pain, just like Zac.  I read that their arc will cover the rest of the books and I can’t wait.  I absolutely fell in love with Zac.  Cimil is one crazy *itch!  I’m trying to see any type of goodness in her at this point but all I can see is that she is wrong most of the time.  Forgetty…just broke my heart.

Belch (Acan) and Margarita were great together.  They truly deserved each other and I felt their connection from the start.  Plus, Margarita is an older heroine.  Yes, older…like 45 years old.  I felt the connection to her and with her life experiences, she could definitely put Acan (Belch) in his place.

I truly loved this book.  Every bit of it was funny, at times emotional, and just plan fun.  I have the first two on the Kindle to read now.  I have to know how the series started and I can’t wait to read the next ones in the series.  Ms. Pamfiloff has a fan for life now.  She writes the kind of paranormal I love to read.  Not too dark, funny, sexy and characters that I just fall in love with.

Immortal Match Makers, Book #1

Seven days to go from lethal immortal assassin to Prince Charming? Not likely.

Demigod Andrus Gray may look like every woman’s dream, but when it comes to charm, he sees no point pretending: He has none and makes no apologies for it. Behaving nicely hasn’t made him the deadly assassin he is today. But is that really the reason he’s still single?

The Goddess Cimil—owner of Immortal Matchmakers, Inc.—thinks yes. So when she foresees a mate in Andrus’s near future, she’s determined to make the match happen. That means hiring aspiring actress Sadie Townsend to help the barbarian “act” a little more civilized.

But are seven days really enough? And why does the idea of seeing Sadie everyday excite him more than meeting his mate?
