The perfect destination for love!
Italy’s picturesque Lake Como is the perfect destination for love, except the path to happy-ever-after isn’t always smooth…
Cousins Gianna and Carla aren’t looking for romance. Gianna’s nursing a broken heart and Carla’s wed to the family business. Until charismatic brothers Dario and Franco arrive on Lake Como’s stunning shores…and sweep them off their feet!
Find out what happens when a case of mistaken identity leads to a fake engagement in Bound by a Ring and a Secret

Will their business deal……give them more than they bargained for?
To appease her overbearing father, Carla told him that she’s engaged. She doesn’t, however, have a fiancé…yet! That’s where Franco comes in—if they marry temporarily, she’ll ensure that both of their companies will mutually benefit. Since neither wants a relationship, saying “I do” is strictly for business. But with their undeniable chemistry, can they keep it that way?
While Franco might be the most handsome man she’d ever met, she had absolutely no intention of acting upon that chemistry. This would be a business arrangement, nothing more.
His gaze narrowed. “Beneficial how?”
“Should I marry, I assume full control of the company for six months, during which time my father can’t override any of my decisions.”
A flicker of interest ignited in his dark eyes. “And what’s in it for me?”
“I know you want your products once more on all the tables in the Falco chain. That’s a lot of tables—many more than there were back when our families were doing business together.”
“And you will have the power to make that happen.”
She nodded. “My signed, sealed and official agreement gives me all the power, once I marry.”
My, my, my. What a tangled web we weave. Carla is in a pickle and turning to a somewhat friend for help will get you into trouble, every single time. But how I loved how the situation changed throughout the book. Such a great read but then again, everything Ms. Faye writes is a gem. This one is no different but it is.
This story could have gone the usual route of a fake marriage trope but Ms. Faye throws in a couple of surprises along the way. I loved how the story was written. Normally, it’s the hero that is in trouble and needs to marry. However, Ms. Faye spins a great story that deals with familial issues, feuds between lifelong friends, and two people that end up falling in love along the way.
Communication is the biggest struggle between Franco and Carla. Nothing too tragic but the biggie at the end is wow, just wow! Someone just needed to calm down a bit. I understood the reaction but goodness…
Another thing is that there are not a lot of supporting characters in the story that you have to keep up with. The ones that are there are supporting and only briefly. This story is mainly Carla and Franco’s and Ms. Faye keeps it that way. She writes them to be thoughtful, well-crafted characters that are also well-rounded. I could be friends with both of them.
Do yourself a favor and read this book. No high drama but just a good time is had by all. I love Ms. Faye and I can’t wait to read what she has next.
