Moonstruck – Review

Two sizzling tales by two very twisted sisters…

Heart of the Jaguar by Myla Jackson
When jaguar shifter Reme Denux stumbles into his ex-girlfriend’s palm reading parlor in the French Quarter of New Orleans, he’s fuzzy about how he got there. The last thing he remembered was a drink at a bar and having another man’s dark, sensuous dream.

As soon as Reme enters her building, Sybille can sense the black magic haze hanging over the man she still loves. With the full moon on the rise, she has to do something to save him from a death-swapping hex or lose him forever. With the help of a voodoo priestess, Sybille and Reme weather the moon’s supremacy and the soul-stealing storm, forging a bond of lust and love, neither has the strength to resist.
She’s All That by Delilah Devlin
Librarian by day, Melanie Bradshaw, is driven to desperation by her torrid dreams. However, when she acts on her desires, things go horribly wrong and she witnesses the murder of an overly amorous lounge lizard. With the body disintegrating before her eyes, who’s going to believe her?
When Detective Moses Brown gets the latest Full Moon case, he’s hoping it’s no more than another crazy looking for attention—until he meets the delectable Melanie Bradshaw. Melanie took a walk on the wild side straight into vampire territory. They know her and now she’s not safe. Until he can find out why, he’s going to stick to her like glue. If his own attraction gets between him and his good intentions, he’ll just grit his teeth and do his best to ignore it.
But pretty little Melanie has designs on his body. How’s a brother to resist?

Heart of the Jaguar by Myla Jackson

Myla Jackson’s short novella packs a wallop of a punch.  From beginning to end, the story never stops.  In fact, I’m still trying to come down from it all.

Reme isn’t sure what to think of what is happening to him and the only person that could even possibly understand is his ex-girlfriend.  Sybille won’t take no for an answer when it comes Reme.  When they finally figure out what is going on, they only have minutes to make things right or Sybille loses Reme forever.

This story is not for the faint of heart.  There is sex, some consensual, some in a dream and some non-consensual.  Don’t worry though.  Sybille’s got Reme’s back and then some.  There is voodoo, violence but most of all, there is unconditional love.

She’s All That by Delilah Devlin

Okay, I’ll admit that I read this story before it was published.  That said, its still one of the most interesting, surprising and truly heartfelt stories that I’ve read in a while.

She’s All That is a My Immortal Knight story so you will see characters from the other stories pop in and out.  I will admit that I haven’t read any of the Immortal Knights books but you will not be confused when reading She’s All That.  It will make you want to go buy the other books in the series, though.

Moses is a cop that is following the Full Moon cases and Melanie is the latest victim of a vampire attack.  When she comes into the station to give her statement, Moses is immediately drawn to her.  Melanie has dreams that she can’t seem to control.  Once Moses and Melanie figure out her dreams and how they are connected to the vampire attack, its a race to keep her safe and out of sight.

With help from Moses friends, Melanie feels safe with Moses but the dreams still keep coming.  The chemistry is off the charts with Moses and Melanie.  Their last scene will take your breath away and you might re-read it again and again.

I can’t wait to go back and read the other My Immortal Knights books to get the full back story to this wonderful story between Moses and Melanie.  Don’t pass it up…you won’t be sorry.
