When Bethany reads her Master’s note, she expects it to contain the usual set of instructions telling her how to prepare for their Friday evening play session. But her Master asks for the unexpected—he wants her to be his Domme. Bethany is terrified at the prospect, but she doesn’t want to disappoint Master. She’ll need to tap into her inner dominatrix if she’s to give her newly submissive lover what he needs.

Review:
Suprise Helena! 🙂 I couldn’t wait to read your first Ellora’s Cave book. Of course, I had to wait until Friday to purchase it but it was well worth it. The characters were well defined and though out, the pacing was spot on and yes, it was funny in parts.
I can honestly say with all the BDSM that I have read, I have never read a story about a “switch” before now. What started out as a play scene ended up with an understanding between Bethany and Dylan (Master) and their different wants and needs in the relationship at times. It was interesting to hear the inner dialogue of a true submissive that had no idea how to be a Domme. It was funny at times but also a little heartbreaking. She didn’t want to disappoint her Master, so she pulled out a scene that they had witnessed at a club to pull off her inner Domme. Watching her make the “switch” was interesting and funny. She didn’t disappoint him or me at all.
I think what made the story stick with me is Ms. Harker’s emotional depth of Bethany. She was a true submissive and didn’t understand why her Master had asked her to be a Domme to him. It wasn’t until she thought back to the scene at the resturant that she had her lightbulb moment and what he was asking of her and ultimate of himself. In BDSM relationships, its about trust and the ability to give that trust to someone else. I understand her Master’s thought process and it took alot for him to give up control but in the end, he trusted her like she trusted him.
If you are looking for an emotional and yet, sometimes funny look at a “switch”, look no further than Master’s Submission. I can’t wait for Ms. Harker’s next release.
