I realize that I’m late with this review.  I usually schedule my stuff but I didn’t with this one.  I read it, put it down and then Hurricane Harvey hit.  My husband’s family is directly affected by it and we’ve been under a lot of stress, worrying and it’s made me physically sick.  I apologize to Mimi Jean and to everyone else.

THIS.BOOK.  Oh, my word.  If I wasn’t laughing, I was swooning and then I wanted to slap both of them upside their heads with their absolute stupidity at times.  I read Smart Tass before I read this and you could it for somewhat of an understanding in Elle and Henry’s relationship but it can be a stand alone.  But hey, it’s Mimi Jean so you NEED to read their book, too.  Mimi Jean just gets college aged people.  She doesn’t throw a bunch of unnecessary angst in their stories but she does manage to throw some twists in their stories that are very realistic and relatable.

Henry and Elle both have very serious family situations going on in their lives.  Elle’s is rather sad and Henry’s is just UGH!  I won’t go into either one of them right now but they do intersect and the sacrifices that one of them makes made me sad and mad at the same time.  I will go ahead and tell you that Elle and Henry’s story isn’t finished.  The cliffy/teaser at the end is a doozy and I have to wait until next year (I think) to see what happens.  I’m not a happy person but that’s Mimi Jean for you and I love her all the same.

You will love how Henry and Elle relate to each other regardless of the so-called “class” of what defines on campus.  She’s brilliant and he’s the jock bound for the NFL.  The truths about sororities and frats is so true.  I never pledged just because of it.  Ugh but Mimi Jean nailed it.  Everything she wrote in this book and Smart Tass is dead on and at times cringe worthy.  And then you have the laugh out loud moments, too.  Plus, smexy times.  Oh yes, this book is a lot more sexy than Smart Tass and I won’t tell you the reason either.  You just need to read this book.  Trust me on this.

Overall, I bow to Mimi Jean’s brilliance.  She gets it and owns it.  You will fall in love with Henry and want a Oh Henry afterwards.
