Finn Bollinger.
Military codename: EAGLE.
A single dad, a warrior, a hero.
For Charlotte Devereux he’s also the man whose heart she broke years before. And now, he’s her only chance for survival.
When former Special Forces soldier Finn Bollinger is asked to help with an undercover mission, he’s up for the task. His job teaching survival skills to civilians at Linear Tactical keeps him sharp, and he can still handle himself in the field.
But the Army damn well didn’t teach Finn how to handle Charlotte Devereux. She’s back and she’s all sorts of bad news.
Charlotte can’t change the past. Can’t change the choices she made or the fact that they cost her everything. All she can do is endure the fallout. Even if that means putting her future in the hands of Finn, the man who has every right to want to destroy her.
And can in so many more ways than he thinks.
When Finn’s undercover mission goes impossibly wrong, he’ll have to depend on Charlotte’s strength in order to survive. But everyone has a breaking point.
He’s fighting for what’s right.
She’s fighting just to survive…

This book had all the feels.  Childhood sweethearts, second chance romance.  Add top-notch suspense, a plot that is plausible yet heartbreaking at times and Ms. Crouch has just moved up my ladder of all time favorite authors.  I’m not going to lie though, I’m still new to her books but with this series, I’m sold.  She brings the heat, the friendships, the love and just the right amount of suspense that I love in a romantic suspense book.

Don’t get me wrong.  I’m a romantic suspense junkie.  I cut my teeth on Cherry Adair, Julie Miller, Tom Clancy, and the entire roster of Harlequin Intrigue authors throughout all the years but Ms. Crouch just flat out delivers in this series.  Her secondary characters are wonderfully written and not intrusive.  Charlie and Finn are a couple that just NEED to be together.  They complete each other and they know it.  Ethan, Finn’s son, is just the icing on the cake for them.  He’s cute but super important to Finn and Charlie’s relationship.  She needs a chance and he needs to trust again.  Ethan is the link.

If I had one complaint about the book is that I really needed some closure on her job status.  I would go any further than that but I felt it needed to be addressed.  There is so much about the book that I could talk about.  Topless bars, Aiden and his book ties into this one and we get to see Annie and Zac again.  *swoon*  Yes, I’m still in love with him.  I love Finn, too but there is something about Zach.  Charlie is such a kick *ss heroine.  She never gives up and I loved that.  She could have many times but she didn’t.  Finn didn’t give up either.  He just needed to have the answers before he could fully commit.

Overall, I just loved this book and the series.  I can’t wait for Aiden’s book next.  This series just gets better and better.  And don’t worry.  Each book is a stand alone.
