BLURB:

Of all the islands in all the world, she’s come to his.

Under the Caribbean Sun, Book 2

Holly Hansen has sacrificed too much to let anything—especially a man—get in the way of making her clothing line a success. When she arrives on the island of Anguilla, she zeroes in on the biggest threat to her make-or-break photo shoot. At six-and-a-half foot of sculpted Dutch muscle, Harmannus Prinsen is every inch the womanizer of Caribbean legend, but he will not be seducing any of her models. She knows exactly how to make sure of it. Make the girls think he’s taken.

Harm is stunned when the curvaceous beauty greets him with a mind-numbing kiss. She’s the embodiment of every pin-up portrait he collected as a teen, with a sassy tongue and a body that begs for his touch. Sure, he’ll pretend to be her date…but only if they really date.

Despite her best efforts to remain immune to his charms, Holly finds herself falling for the man behind the myth. She begins to wonder which island she belongs on…Manhattan or Anguilla.

Excerpt Three:

Holly stepped out on the lanai and held up her cell phone. She breathed a sigh of relief as the bars lit up on the display. Her interlude with Harm on the beach had put her behind schedule and she couldn’t afford to be without her phone. She dialed up her voicemail and turned to look at the house.

Most of the lights were off, allowing the stars to reflect off the glass facade. But the upper corner glowed like a beacon. The sight drew her eye and her breath. Unaware of his audience stood Harm, enjoying a shower for the world to see.

Not that there would be many looking. With the rocky outcroppings along his shoreline, no boats would get close enough, and his villa was higher than the house beside his or the collection of bungalows he owned. Right now she was the only one enjoying the view.

What she wouldn’t give for a pair of binoculars so she could study his muscled physique. Water sluiced down his honed body, the showerheads attached to an interior wall. The muscles of his ass flexed as he moved, his back rippling as he pushed water from his hair.

“Come on, turn around.” Holly blinked at the sound of her own voice, unaware she’d spoken. She slipped her phone into her pocket, then looked up to find Harm had done as she wished.

“Oh my.” She pressed her hand to the base of her throat and stared.

Review:

Okay, I will admit that I didn’t read the first book in the series and I was at times lost with the whole Sassy/Joe storyline but I found that I really didn’t care.  I loved, loved Harm and Holly.  This is definitely their story and then some.

Again, a little lost in the beginning because *gasp* I didn’t read Sassy/Joe’s story but I didn’t feel like I needed to read it to understand Harm and Holly.  Harm has a reputation, real or imagined and Holly is determined not to let Harm ruin her photo shoot with the fresh meat that is available to him.  OMG…their introduction is classic and had me howling.  🙂

Faster than you can anything in Dutch, Harm and Holly are off to the races with the innuendo , barbs, sexual tension and the excerpt you just read…let’s just say there is WAY more to it.  I was sighing and laughing at the same time.  Just when they decide that a friends with benefit will suit them, they both realize that they want more from each other.

The only thing that I didn’t like about the story was the interference of Sassy.  To me she came off as a shrew and ultimately had Holly make a decision.  Again, I understand Sassy and Harm relationship but I didn’t like Sassy in the story.  I think that there was enough conflict between Harm and Holly that Sassy’s shrill wasn’t necessary but hey, that’s me.

Caribbean Casanova is a light, breezing story about two people that aren’t meant for each other but in the end find that they are in more ways than one.  Also, remember to NOT believe everything that you hear.  It might cost you the love of your life.  🙂

OH, I almost forgot…THE EPILOGUE was BRILLIANT!  Jenna I never saw that coming and peeps…O.M.G.!!!

  7. It sounds like a fun book, what with Holly running interference 🙂

  8. Thanks everyone! I had such fun playing with Harm & Holly 🙂 The Harm/Sassy interplay was a creative strecth for me. From where he stands, she is the queen of brats. But from her perspective, he’s the king of bullies.

And thanks for the kudos on the epilogue. My editor loves them 🙂

  9. Thanks for the great review. I can’t wait to read the epilogue, you don’t see them often enough. Plus I love the idea of a dutch hero

  10. What a fun excerpt. Sounds as though you should really read the first book in the series, but if not, this review makes this book sound awesome.

  11. What a great review, oh I love epilogues and it sounds like this one is a doozy. I was unsure about the book, I had seen something about it womewhere but hadn’t paid a lot of attention but after reading what Harlie had to say I’ll definitely check it out.
    Thanks

  12. Great review, Harlie. I definitely prefer contemporary erotic romance with some humor and this sounds like it fits the bill. The blurb and excerpt are wonderfully descriptive!
