Author Interview of Inara Scott featuring Falling for Mr. Wrong

Blurb:

Looking for Mrs. Right…

Single father of three, Ross Bencher, knows the kind of woman he wants: someone predictable, reliable, and safe, who can give his kids the security they deserve. Someone entirely different from high-altitude mountaineer Kelsey. Kelsey bewitches him with her long legs and wild passion and is about as far from his ideal as a woman can get, but try telling that to his body. Or his heart…

Falling for Mr. Wrong…

When Kelsey agreed to fill in as a temporary nanny for her best friend’s agency before a big climbing expedition, she had no idea she’d be working for drop-dead sexy Ross Bencher, a man she can’t seem to keep her hands off. She knows if she wants to bring herself—and her father—back alive from the Himalayan Mountains, she can’t afford second-guessing, attachments, or distractions. But Ross’s blue eyes and strong hands leave her gasping…and questioning everything she’s ever known about love…

Top ten things you don’t know about me:

1.  Cotton or Silk?

Cotton. I’ve got to be able to throw it in the washing machine!

2.  Champagne/beer/wine?

The last time I drank champagne, it was at my wedding, and I got a horrible migraine! I generally avoid alcohol for that reason, but sometimes a girl just HAS to have a glass of wine. Headache be dammed! That was the last time I drank it, too.  Massive hangover the next day.

3.  Plotter/pantser

When I’m writing YA I’m a fierce plotter. Spreadsheets, storyboards, colored post-it notes…the works. But when I’m writing my short contemporary romances, I just let it all go and pantz the heck out of it. I really enjoy the randomness that follows!

4.  Describe your workspace

Anywhere I have my laptop. I spent a lot of time in front of our fireplace, but I can really work anywhere.

5.  Sports fan or just tolerate it?

Zero interest, actually. I went to Duke for undergrad and I never even managed to be a basketball fan while I was there. I just don’t really get sports, to be honest. It’s an empty place in my soul. 😉 Oooo, I love Duke basketball and I live in Texas.  Coach K is the bomb.  That said, I only watch the tournament.  J  But I completely understand.

6.  Who is your biggest influence on writing?

I’d have to say life is my biggest influence. I’m constantly hearing about interesting news stories and current events that spark story ideas.

7.  Favorite food –

Ice cream!
8.  When did you start writing?

I wrote my first book in high school, and lots of angsty poems in college. But then I put it away for a few years while I got my law degree and popped out a couple of babies. I started back up in 2005, and sold my novel in 2007.

9.  If money were no object, where would you like to live?

Oh, wow…I really want to visit New Zealand, but I’m terrified of the flight and I’d miss my family too much. Probably in some artsy little mountain town, like Sisters, Oregon. Something close to beautiful, wild places, but that also had great coffee shops.
10.  What’s next for you?

I have a new book coming out in January that’s kicking off a series with two other amazing authors, Victoria James and Rachel Lyndhurst. The series is set in the fictional town of Passion Creek (a town not unlike my answer to #9!), and I’m kicking things off with the first book in the series, Reforming the Playboy.
