Tasha’s not looking for love, but she doesn’t mind just looking… and maybe a little fantasizing. Her two best friends and weekend AD& D buddies, Seth and Ryan, are the perfect guest stars in her fantasies. When a late night gaming session with the three goes from silly to verbally scorching in an instant, Tasha wonders if her imagination is enough to keep her satisfied long term.
Then her ex’s money mismanagement catches up to her in the form of draining her bank account, her job is threatened by a mistake that points to Ryan, and Seth takes his side. If Tasha can’t move past her trust issues long enough to uncover the truth—both with herself and the men she’s falling for—she’ll wind up broken-hearted and just plain broke.

Seth’s hand glided up my stomach and brushed the bottom of my breast. “Morning, Tasha.”
“Mmm…” I arched my back at the teasing contact, and need throbbed between my legs. I wasn’t going to dwell on if this was awkward or not. We’d agreed last night it was just fun and games. A pang echoed inside at the idea this wouldn’t happen again, and I pushed it away. I couldn’t get attached to them, partly because I’d never be able to choose, but mostly because I wasn’t going to scare either guy off by being that girl who didn’t know the difference between sex and love.
That didn’t mean I was in a rush to extract myself from Seth’s arms. Or that I could ignore the hard length pressed into my back, and how wet I was getting as he drew closer to my nipple, but never quite touched the rigid nub.
“We have an eight a.m.” Disappointment tempered his tone. “Otherwise, there are so many things I’d like to do to you. Hell, I’m tempted anyway.”
Damn it. Why did work have to be so…consistent? I wiggled my ass against his erection as one final tease and reminder and then reluctantly rolled away. “I guess you’re right.”
As I climbed out of bed, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to my knees on the mattress. He sat up in front of me, and rested a hand at the back of my neck, light eyes locked on mine. “Even though it was just a game, I had an incredible time last night.”
Did he sound disappointed the night before hadn’t meant anything? Before I could question the hesitation in his statement, he pressed his lips to mine. The soft kiss seeped into my senses, searing my thoughts. I leaned into him with a groan. Electricity danced along my skin when his tongue dove into my mouth. His dick dug into my bare stomach, tempting me. I trailed my fingers along his chest, seconds away from moving my hands lower. He held my head captive and deepened the kiss, crushing my lips into my teeth.
Every inch of me was on fire with need. We could miss our meeting, right? I nipped at his bottom lip, and let my palm slide down.
Ms. Lindt is becoming my go-to author when I want realistic, emotional stories about “geeks”. Not all of her heroes/heroines are geeks but they have that side to them that I remember fondly as a teenager. I was never a gamer but I would sit and watch my younger brother and his buddies play D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) for hours. *giggle* Oh yes, D&D. Didn’t play it but I loved how it brought my brother and his friends closer. Plus come on, you know that you giggle when you watch the gang from The Big Bang Theory play, too.
But what really got me about this story was the friendships that Seth, Ryan and Tasha have with one another before sex gets in the way. Oh yes, not only were they friends but they are co-workers, too. Their back history is established as friends and I liked that very much. Especially when it comes to a menage.
As most know, I stopped ready menage years ago. For me, it was the same old, same old with no back history with the characters. I have read some great menage stories with an established couple and they bring in another for completion in their relationship and those are great. But for me as a reader, a menage needs to make sense. I want back history, not a wham bam thank you mam. And a HUGE NO for me is to bring 3 people together and then one lives so the other two can have the HEA. Grrr… Ms. Lindt has done the reverse in this story. A menage is something that these three never thought of until they started a roll playing exercise in the game. 😉 Trust me, its hot.
If I had one complaint and its tiny, I would have liked to see how the ex fared. Maybe a bit of explanation if she turned him in or not. I realize that plot point happened for a reason, but I’ve been a victim of cyber theft in my checking account. I would like to know if she recovered anything. I’m weird, I know.
Another interesting thing about the story is one of the guys is bi and a voyeur. And no, I’m not telling who so you will need to read it find out. There is enough of the work situation that I can’t wait to see if Ms. Lindt’s writes more about the company. There boss was a douche.
While the story is somewhat short, it still packed a punch. Ms. Lindt writes emotional stories about characters that you care about. Geeks or not. She is not to be missed. Plus, you know that you love Sheldon and his friends. If you do…then Ms. Lindt’s books are a must read…ALL OF THEM!
