Who will catch a lifetime of love?

Winning the annual wedding bouquet design competition may be the closest Kady Lawrence gets to the altar. She has to come in first or risk losing the shop that’s been in her family for generations. Her main competition is Jasmine Matthews. But it’s Jasmine’s son who’s caught Kady’s attention.

Kady has no inkling Dylan’s a DEA agent on a case in Cypress Pointe, and Dylan wants to keep it that way…until Kady’s targeted. Determined to keep her safe, Dylan risks a lot more than blowing his cover…he risks losing Kady forever.

Oh my, a sweet contemporary that I read twice.  Yes, twice.  I loved, just loved this book.  I’m a sucker for flowers so this book was right up my alley.  As an older bride, my bouquet had lilies, Gerber daisies, and carnations.  Fortunately, for my husband, I’m allergic to roses.  Anyway, I loved reading about the cutthroat world of wedding flowers.  😉  Never knew it was that competitive.

What really drew me into the story was Kady.  A screw up in some ways growing up and now back on track in her life, she had a goal and plan but unfortunately, her parents didn’t see her as anything but a screw-up.  They didn’t believe in her and that stung.  Kady though believed in herself and moved forward.  Her brother was slow to come around but in the end, he was there for her and I felt like his subplot in the book was handled very well.  I actually liked him from the beginning.

Dylan is a dream.  He actually liked his mother but when he found out that she was Kady competition, my heart fluttered.  Yes, fluttered.  With a sense of sadness.  I thought right then and there that their floundering romance was over.  Ms. Randel didn’t gloss over that plot point and in the end, well, you will have to find out who won the contest.  😉  Yes, I’m that mean.  I also liked that Dylan relied on his brothers and his bosses and law enforcement.  He didn’t go, rogue, like most heroes do when they need to protect the people that they love.

In the end, I loved the sweet romance of Kady and Dylan.  It wasn’t rushed and had a few twists in it that I LOVED.  Plus, the suspense element is on point for these characters.

Now, I’m just going to have to wait and see if Dylan’s brothers get their stories.  Oh yes, he has 3 brothers that I would definitely like to get to know a whole lot better.  😉

Now one of L.A.’s most in-demand celebrity event planners, Nealy’s only come back for a vacation and to help with her sister’s wedding—not for a reunion with her long-lost love. But the more their paths cross, the more the sparks fly! Maybe their connection isn’t over just yet….,
